Croke Park Trip

24th Jun 2019

The children from P4-7 who attended the trip to Croke Park on Friday 21st June had a fantastic day and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

After a long journey from St.Anne’s to Croke the excitement was at an all time high.

The tour began with a trip into the players lounge, followed by a team talk in the changing rooms from Monaghan Footballer, Conor McManus.

Next the children had the great opportunity of running out of the tunnel onto the pitch. All of the children found this experience very special and will be something to remember for a long time!

After a look around the pitch side we then climbed the steps of the Hogan Stand, and then headed on up to the Upper Tier for a different view of the stadium.

It was then time for a well deserved break and so we made our way into the Croke Park Hotel for a beautiful lunch to finish the day. A little bonus prize was to meet Uachtarán Cumann Lúthchleas Gael John Horan!

We would like to thank all those parents and grandparents who took the time and effort to cut out and send in all the tokens, the Irish News for organising and facilitating the trip, and lastly to Croke Park for allowing this amazing experience to take place!!
