Principal's welcome
Dear Parents / Guardians,
Welcome to St Anne's Primary School website.
Our aim is to educate children through the transmission of our culture and values, in accordance with the Catholic tradition, which fosters the development of the whole child in his/her spiritual and moral growth as well as in academic achievement. We welcome, celebrate and respect the traditions and cultures of all in our school. This is evident through what is displayed on our website.
St Anne's has strong, mutually beneficial links with local primary and second level schools as well as with sporting groups, community groups, charities and external agencies. A particular feature of life in St Anne's is the strong bond with St. Patrick's parish. Liturgical events in the life of the school are celebrated in our school hall and in the parish church.
St Anne's offers a broad and balanced curriculum, incorporating active teaching and learning, designed to meet the needs of all the children at their different stages of development. Parents are encouraged to participate in the life of the school through parent/teacher meetings, interviews, school reports, newsletters, social events. There is an active Parent Teacher Association which supports the educational experiences of the children in many ways.
Educational visits are an integral part of our curriculum. The school engages in STEM activities and offers a wide range of sporting and recreational activities. Many of these visits and experiences are facilitated by our strong partnership with Knockahollet Primary School through the Shared Education Signature Project.
The Board of Governors take an active role in all the affairs of the school and strongly supports the work of the staff. They are committed to maintaining the high quality leadership, management and teaching within our school.
I hope you enjoy browsing the articles, videos and pictures of the 'Corkey kids' participating in various educational, sporting and shared activities in St Anne's. Please feel free to get in touch with me if you would like to know more about the life of our school.
Thank you for your continued support,
MR H DUFFIN (Principal)

The Department of Education produce a document annually providing advice to parents of children in P6 on the post-primary transfer process. The purpose of this document is to ensure that parents receive timely information about the range of issues they need to take into account when making important decisions about the next stage in their child’s education.
Previously a hard copy would have been provided for parents in January of their child’s P6 year however this year the document will be available in electronic form only.
The document is available to download from the Department’s website at the following link:
