P1&2 'Smartie' Maths

To kick off Maths Week P1&2 enjoyed a sorting & data handling lesson based on Smarties 😋
Firstly, they had to sort the smarties into groups by colour. Next they used their Smarties to create a real life pictogram. They then used their pictogram to create a bar chart to show how many of each colour of Smartie they had. Finally, once all the hard work was done they got to reward themselves with the tasty treats ☺️
