P5/6

5th Feb 2026

P5/6 have been working hard in Maths this week. They enjoyed playing different games to help practise their times tables and work with factors and multiples.
They played a ladder game, a board game and dominoes. They had to use their problem solving skills to work out the position of the dominoes because some multiples were on more than one domino!
Great pair-work and fab problem solving skills on show.

Fianna got to visit Celtic Park recently and enjoyed telling the class all about her adventures. She brought in some souvenirs to show the class and they asked some really interesting questions.
Cillian is just back from his trip to Egypt. He kindly brought us back a little Sphinx figurine! We are doing the Egyptians for our WAY topic, so Cillian had his work cut out for him when he was answering questions from the class. We look forward to seeing the photos!

Stas’ made his very own Egyptian map at home with the help of his daddy! He told us all about it and how he used a tea bag to make the paper look old. Fabulous work- it will go pride of place in our WAU board!

Oisin has decided to try to raise some money for the new iPads himself. He is selling cards to the class and has made lots of money for the iPad pot!! How kind! Well done Oisin.
