Place Value Practical Maths in P5/6

We have been doing lots of practical Maths this week. To help us learn about place value, we worked in groups with cones and had to make a life-size abacus in the hall to represent big numbers. 

We then used our Place Value cards to make numbers as quickly as we could. We were doing so well we even added in a decimal point and a tenths column!
