We had a special assembly on Wednesday with our special guest, Margaret from Trocaire.
Margaret told the children all about Trocaire's 2026 Lenten campaign in support of families in Guatemala. She showed us that our money will help rebuild a house for a family whose house was destroyed in a landslide. The money raised will also buy a plot of land for the family to grow crops.
During Lent St Anne's pupils raised a fantastic £800 bun sales, guess the amount of sweets in the jar, 10p trail, jumble sales, colouring competitions, penalty shoot out and of course the Trocaire boxes.
This money will be split equally between Trocaire and Sr Patricia in Peru. Mrs Black and P7s presented a cheque for £400 to Margaret at our assembly.
Thank you to everyone who took part especially P7s who had a big part in organising all the competitions.
