We had a special assembly on Wednesday with our special guest, Roisin from Trocaire.
Roisin told the children all about Trocaire's 2025 Lenten campaign in support of families in Guatemala. Roisin told the story of a 12 year old child called Miriam whose family needs help to get her to school when her family's crops fail due to climate change. She showed how the money raised by the children of St Anne's will help children like Miriam, her family and their community in La Paz.
During Lent, St Anne's Pupils raised a fantastic £1010 from bun sales, 10p trails, jumble sales, competitions and of course, the class Trocaire boxes! This money will, as always in St Anne's, be split equally between Trocaire and Sr Patricia in Peru. Mrs Black presented a cheque for £505 to Roisin at our assembly.
Roisin presented our Pupil of the Week certificates also, well done everyone- keep up the hard work!
